We compare the request with the sources used in the article and any stronger evidence supplied. We may contact relevant parties when further context is necessary.
Corrections and clarifications
A factual error is corrected as soon as reasonably possible. A clarification may be added when wording was accurate but incomplete or open to a materially misleading interpretation.
What is not removed automatically
Disagreement, embarrassment or a change of preference is not by itself proof that accurate public-interest information should be removed. Privacy and safety concerns are assessed individually.
